What to do if you are unsure about your plans after high school?

Step 1: Take an Interest Inventory – Naviance or ASVAB

Inventory Tips

• During the assessment avoid selecting the response “NOT SURE” or “NEUTRAL.” Either you like it or you don’t.  Choosing these types of responses will give you a list of careers that may not be of interest to you.

  Step 2:  Make a list of careers you want to learn about

  Consider…

• Job availability and location upon graduation
• Education/training required
• Salary range
• Work Demands

Step 3: Determine the Occupational Outlook for the careers.
