Dear Parent/Guardian:
Your child has been identified as being eligible for services offered through the Rockdale County High School Unit Recovery Program. The Program is an instructional program beyond the regular school day designed to address the academic needs of students who are performing below course expectations. In this program, participating students will receive instructional and learning opportunities to support academic success. There is no charge for students’ participation in this program and instruction will be provided by certified teachers.
If you elect to have your child participate in the Unit Recovery Program, please understand attendance is critical to your child receiving the full benefits of the program. This program is available on a first come, first serve basis. Each Unit Recovery cycle will last for two sessions. Session (1) will be on November 12th from 8:00am – 12:00pm, and Session (2) will be on November 19th from 8:00am – 12:00pm. Attendance for both days is mandatory to receive credit.
While participating in the Unit Recovery Program, students will be expected to follow the rules of Rockdale County Public Schools and Rockdale County High School as stated in the RCHS Student Handbook that applies during the regular school day.
Students violating these rules may be removed from the program and not allowed to return.
To foster future success in school, we encourage you to consider this opportunity for your child. To register your child for this program, please complete the attached registration form and student reflection and return it to the school by the date indicated. If you have any questions regarding the Unit Recovery Program or your child’s eligibility for this program, please contact your child’s teacher, counselor, or grade level administrator. Sincerely,
