The Graduation ceremony for the Class of 2019 will be at 6:30 p.m.. on Thursday, May, 23, 2019, at Reid  Memorial Stadium.   Graduates should arrive no later than 4:30 p.m., and parents may be seated beginning at 5:00 p.m. Please know that every effort will be made to hold the ceremony in the stadium.
Please do not bring balloons, beach balls, Fat heads, cow bells, air horns, or any other disruptive noise making devices or items that could block or impede the view of others.  This is a formal ceremony not a sporting event and we ask that everyone be respectful of the occasion.

Students MAY NOT DECORATE their cap in any way.  This includes cap toppers.
Graduation Practice:   Attendance at graduation practice is mandatory for students to participate in the graduation ceremony. Practice is scheduled to begin at 8:15 a.m. on Tuesday, May 21 and Wednesday, May 22 in the Gymnasium. Students do not have to dress up for practice but must abide by the RCPS Dress Code. Practice will end at 11:45 a.m. Students must make arrangements to attend practice, be present for the entire practice, and have transportation home at the end of practice. 
Water  will be sold at the Graduation for $1.
Graduation Parking: Seniors should park in the Vocational Parking Lot. Handicap parking will be available in the Main Parking Lot. Limited Parking on the RCHS Campus down below tennis courts. Parking will be available at the C.J. Hicks and Magnet Campus. Due to construction on Rowland rd, all traffic will exit onto Pine Log rd. Please be patient when leaving the ceremony. Traffic will be extremely heavy with officers at intersections directing traffic.

Graduation Seating:  Seating is first come first serve. Handicap seating is available on the Home Side of the Stadium. Gates will open at 5:00 p.m. for family members to come in and find a seat.   
Live Streaming link:   Will be available on Graduation Day. Check the RCPS Website. The link will be live by 6:15pm.
Graduation Tickets:  Each senior will receive 9 tickets (wristbands) for the ceremony.  4 of the 9 wristbands will allow entry into the gymnasium for the graduation ceremony if the ceremony is moved due to inclement weather. All patrons who attend the ceremony, regardless of age, must have the wristband on to be admitted. Tickets will be handed out to the seniors at graduation practice for security reasons.  
DIPLOMA DISTRIBUTION:  At the conclusion of the ceremony, students are to report to the  gym to receive their diplomas. Only faculty and members of the Class of 2019 will be allowed in this area after graduation. There will be no exceptions. Parents and guests may wait for seniors outside. 
No one is allowed on the track or football field at anytime!  You must meet your senior after they pick up their diploma.
Where Can I find my Senior after Graduation?  Parents please have a plan on where to meet your senior after they pick up their diploma.  Seniors will not have their phones, so a planned meeting place is necessary.  We have many spots to meet your senior;  flag pole, ticket booth, front of school, field house, steps from parking lot, side entrance of school, etc...
